Well I'm Mike and I'm quite into my food. Which is just as well seeing you need it to live. I've been cooking since I was a young child. My mother was a big cook in the home and we had a large gas cast iron oven which she would cook MANY things in. These included live game and poultry either from the local butcher or caught by my uncles and brothers from rabbits to duck and pheasants. Fresh sea food like cod and bass, mackerel to crabs. If its English traditional, you name it, I've killed, cooked and eaten it! :)
Aside from this dietery experience under my belt (in more ways than one), I have also gained several achievements and awards in the food and leisure retail industry both as a publican and a chef working in different busy pubs and pub restaurants in the South West / South East of England for the past 20 years.
One thing I've learned in that time, is that the food we eat is more important than we think it is. And I believe that nature can provide food that can heal us in ways that ancient nor modern medicines can do. When was the last time you eat a good meal and didn't feel good for it after?
So I have setup this blog to list out all my favourite recipes that I have that I can cook myself. The ones that I can't and the ones I'd like to as well. A long with a whole myriad of food related topics and tit bits. You love the tit bits.
